Atletix Horse can be given both dry and wet and its effect is not reduced by being soaked. It is always advantageous to divide the daily dose into two or more doses, but if this is not possible, it is fine to give the daily dose at one time. Atletix Horse is palatable to most horses, while some pickier horses may need a period of acclimatization with a smaller dose that is slowly increased.

For large horses we recommend a starting dose of 4 scoops/day for 1 week and then continue with 2 scoops per day. If you have a smaller pony, this dosage can be halved. But it is perfectly fine to experiment yourself to find the dose that best suits your horse and its needs.

During travel, meetings/harder training or competition periods, the dose can also be increased to 4-6 scoops/day. Some horse owners choose to give Atletix Horse as a course of 2-3 months while others give it continuously.

No, there is no research on Atletix horse, however, there is a lot of research on the individual ingredients. The company behind Atletix horse (BIOCONCEPT AB) has a similar supplement for humans called Flexovital and a study has been conducted on it that has been published in the scientific journal NUTRIENTS. The maltodextrin in Atletix Horse is primarily used to prevent lumps in the product as the amino acids themselves are sticky, but also to make the product palatable to the horse.

Maltodextrin is a carbohydrate made up of glucose molecules, which is produced by starching foods such as corn, rice or potatoes. It is a form of sugar, but technically counts as starch.

In terms of content, 100g of maltodextrin consists of 94.8g of carbohydrates and 6.6g of sugar, as well as 385.2 kcal (1.6MJ). One scoop of Atletix Horse contains the equivalent of 2.9g of maltodextrin.
